This tour is not for the meek as it tackles some of the city's most famous and challenging stairways around Russian and Telegraph Hills. Choose from 3 to 6 miles. Hugh Bosely has been running and leading tours through the hills, dales, allies and trails of San Francisco for 10 years. He has logged over 12,000 miles in The City and Bay Area parks. His background as an architect and historian gives him special knowledge of the City's spaces and forms.

As a lifelong runner and coach, Hugh understands individual abilities and limitations and conducts the tours at a pace that maximizes your desired experience be it sight-seeing, training or a balance.

All tours are individual and personalized. Beyond the iconic features of each tour, routes are designed to highlight your personal interests. From historic homes of rock stars and bandits to famous bars / restaurants to boutique guitar stores to public art and murals - let your guide know if you have particular interests he could incorporate into your tour.

Rates

Home

Guide rates are $40 per individual per hour with a one hour minumum. Discounts are available for groups and for full day excursions. Transportation to Bay Area Parks outside San Francisco is included at the per hour fee.

Gear

Home

No special equipment or shoes are required. Trails are non-technical and easily navigable with street soles. Most routes have access to a drinking fountain and your guide carries extra water so there is no need to carry a water bottle. A light wind breaker or extra top layer is recommended as the average temperature for parts of San Francisco is ~55 degrees F (12 degrees Celsius).
